L. always wants to be in on the action, so I made her a learning tower from a tutorial online, which uses an IKEA stepstool as the base. It has a smaller footprint than manufactured learning towers, so it fits in our tiny kitchen.
I just had the local home improvement store cut my wood to measure so all I needed was screws and an electric drill to build the top cage part. It took probably 5 nights with both R. and I working on it to finish, partially due to a broken drill bit and empty drill battery. I was astounded it took so much effort. But now that it's done, I love having it!

Precious. Great job! I like that it was a team effort.
