Homemade Halloween Costume: Madeline

This year, L. has really loved the original Madeline book. So I made her a Madeline costume for Halloween. I bought a large, blue t-shirt for $2 at the thrift store, traced a pinafore dress she already had to make the dress and then just winged a "cape" to go over it. I used a piece of white felt and strip of scrap red fabric to make the collar and tie. Then I found this hat for $1 at the thrift store. I was going to paint it yellow and add a ribbon, but ran out of time.

Crooked cape, but you get the idea.
It was fun to make.
