Berry good.

It seems our strawberry plants are the type that continue bearing fruit all summer. And somehow, we are receiving mysterious grace from the slugs...though they are most likely just focusing on our other plants. We can't keep up, so we're starting to freeze them. We just wash, hull, then spread them on a cookie sheet to individually freeze, and finally, bag.

On the way to the garden last night, we realized that there are blackberry bushes lining the bike path by the garden, and they are bearing fruit! We filled the whole tupperware we'd taken for strawberries, and then had to stop picking. We'll go back for more...I've heard rumors Eugene is filled with these in the summer!
