Anniversary Pickles

This weekend, Rob and I went to Coos Bay to celebrate our anniversary. We saw sandstone bluffs that were stunning, but equally thrilling to me was stumbling upon a farmers' market with prices we could afford!

We bought the guy out of his pickling cucumbers, and he threw in a huge bunch of dill for free because we bought so much stuff. 

So, I made dill pickles this morning! The house smells so great--I can't wait till they're ready to eat! Last season I made just a couple jars, which we ate quickly. Awash with pickle fervor one of us bought a 2 gallon tub of Vlastic spears, which have remained in the fridge for the last 10 months. They're just not the same!
