And they were all yellow...

Well, though late-season disease is laying its hands on my garden, the squash just won't quit! They are occupying a few more feet every time I visit the garden (literally). So, I decided to trying picking a couple carrots today since their sunlight has been encroached upon by big squash leaves for several weeks now, and I don't want the rabbits to get to them first. They were very small, but I was pleased to see that something grew nonetheless!

I realized today that my heirloom tomato plant is yellow, and picked its first fruits. I'm slightly disappointed. Ochre just isn't as rich a color as red; a little bit of appeal is lost. This shatters my paradigm of what tomatoes should be.
