First Ice Cream

I made some ice cream for New Year's Eve, which we are still eating. It's a lovely color, because 2 beets go in. It's tasty, but not overly sweet.  I got the recipe here. I am not sure if making homemade ice cream is any cheaper than storebought, but you do get to control what goes in.

I've been spending a lot of time this Christmas break working on a quilt top, which is getting closer to the end. It's a lot of work! I look forward to posting a picture when it's done.
