Simple Summer

First, I would like to share how my sweet potato plants are doing. It is a delight to watch them--they change every single day! The orange-flesh one is being awfully pokey about making leaves, though. I'm glad I tried both varieties.
R. and I picked 9 pounds of blueberries at a Bear's Fruit Farm yesterday. The end of the season sale was $1/lb. Can't beat that! I had never picked blueberries before, besides climbing under the netting in my grandma's backyard about 18 years ago. They take a long time to pick! Hoping to make some jam real soon.

And, I can't resist sharing this adorable picture of my cousin's baby girl wearing a bonnet I made her.  This is probably the first time I've sewn something that someone else has worn.
