What I discovered is that you don't need to pay the textile company for their tape; you can make it yourself with scissors, a ruler, and LOTS of ironing. You need ample time on your hands too, which I have.
1. Cut a long, two-inch strip of cloth. A clear, graph-type quilting ruler makes that easy. So do my new Gingher fabric scissors I got for my birthday--they cut like a dream. Really...a dream.
2. Fold the strip in half the long way and press.
3. Unfold, and fold each edge to meet the center line. Press again.
4. Fold the original center fold and press yet again.
5. Bias tape!
