Constant Contact: Table

The week we moved to Oregon we bought this cheap table and chair set at a garage sale. The white painted top was scratched badly, so we kept a tablecloth on it all the time. I tried once to sand down the scratches and cover it with mirror-finish contact paper, but that only highlighted the imperfections. You can see all three stages in this first shot:

Recently I found some brown and white printed contact paper and applied that. It looks much better! It's nice to be able to wipe the table off. :) I was unsure how it would hold up, since I think it's meant for shelf-lining, not dining-room table wear, but it's been great! Eyesore no more!
